BOOK 20 PAGE 73 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />DECEMBER 5, 2005 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. <br />Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Robert H. Brown, Herbert A. Hincks, <br />Jerry M. Lemmond, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />Chairman Hincks led the pledge of allegiance. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board that the first order of business was <br />the election of a Chairman for a one-year term. Ballots were passed out and tabulated <br />with the following votes recorded: <br />COMMISSIONER VOTED FOR <br />Adams <br />Hincks <br />Brown <br />H i ncks <br />Hincks <br />Hincks <br />Lemmond <br />Brown <br />Paschal <br />Hincks <br />Reives <br />Brown <br />Stevens <br />Hincks <br />Mr. Hoyle announced that Commissioner Hincks had received five votes and <br />Commissioner Brown had received two votes, and therefore Commissioner Herbert A. <br />Hincks had been elected Chairman for the coming year by a five to two vote. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle called for the election of a Vice-Chairman for a one- <br />year term. Ballots were distributed and tabulated with the following votes recorded: <br />
