0 0
BOOK 20 PAGE 690
3. The Commission will install 5-solar-powered fish feeders, 3 in the lower
and 2 in the upper pond. Catfish will be fed April through September of
each year. County park personnel will be responsible for ordering fish
feed, storing feed and filling each feeder with 50 pounds of feed each
week during the feeding season.
4. Maintain the physically challenged fishing pier built on the lower pond.
5. Prohibit the further release of domesticated waterfowl. The waterfowl
interfere with the fish-feeding program and organic compounds deposited by
the birds can cause excessive algal blooms.
6. Manage aquatic weeds so that they do not interfere with fish management
and fishing. Conduct a 3 to 5 feet winter drawdown (December through
January) as needed to control any weed growth.
7. Maintain regulatory signs at each angler entrance to the ponds (County).
These regulatory signs along with Sportfish Restoration Signs indicating
partial Wallop-Breaux funding will be provided by the Commission for
posting by the County.
8. Both agencies will maintain the Fishing Tackle Loaner Program.
