Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for additional cameras at the Lee County Jail. <br />County Manager David Smitherman told the Board that several months ago the Board <br />entered into an agreement with Mosley Architects to conduct a study concerning <br />security in the jail. The report showed that an additional eighty (80) surveillance <br />cameras were needed. Mr. Smitherman stated the original bids received exceeded the <br />$120,000 budget that had been allocated for the project in the FY 2005-06 budget. <br />Assistant County Manager Kenny Cole requested additional bids and the following were <br />received: <br />• Integrator.com <br />$199,565.00 <br />• Normet Security Group <br />$172,000.00 <br />• Diversified Control <br />$178,000.00 <br />• Selectronics, Inc. <br />$163,563.73 <br />Mr. Smitherman recommended the Board approve the low bid from Selectronics, Inc. <br />Commissioner Stevens left the meeting during discussion of this matter. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to accept the low bid from Selectronics, Inc. in the <br />amount of $163,563.73 for the installation of eighty (80) additional cameras in the Lee <br />County Jail. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Stevens <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for security at the Lee County Government Center. <br />County Manager David Smitherman told the Board that Assistant County Manager <br />Kenny Cole had obtained the following bids for the installation of a security system at <br />the Lee County Government Center: <br />• Selectronics, Inc. $27,949.02 <br />Wadesboro, NC <br />• Piedmont Sound & Signal $26,300.74 <br />Greensboro, NC <br />
