0 u„0N rn~V F CE <br />(1) Broken, overloaded, decayed or excessively sagging sills, beams, girders and joists shall be <br />prohibited. Floors shall be in sound condition and good repair and shall be safe to use and <br />capable of supporting the load which normal use may cause to be placed thereon. <br />(2) Flooring shall be reasonably smooth, not rotten or worn through, and without holes or <br />excessive cracks which permit air or rodents to penetrate rooms- <br />(3) There shall be no loose flooring or floor covering. <br />(4) Floors shall be reasonably level. <br />(5) There shall be no dirt floors or wood floors on the ground. <br />(6) All bathroom, toilet room, laundry and kitchen floors shall be constructed and maintained so <br />as to be impervious to water by covering with a waterproof, nonabsorbent material. <br />(c) Walls, Exterior: <br />(1) All exterior surfaces shall be structurally sound, waterproof, weatherproof and rodent-proof <br />with no holes, cracks or rotted boards. <br />(2) Window frames and glass shall be reasonably weather-tight, with no cracked or broken <br />glass. All windows shall be provided with suitable hardware to include operable locks and <br />shall be made to open freely. <br />(3) Exterior doors shall be substantially weather-tight, water and rodent-proof and lockable <br />from inside and outside- Doors shall be in sound working condition ;Inc] good repair. <br />(4) All load-bearing walls, exterior or interior, shall not be substmuially bowed or out-of-plumb <br />and shall be structurally sound. <br />(5) Studs shall provide sufficient support for sheathing or exterior finish and shall not be rotten <br />or termite damaccd. <br />(6) All exterior surface shall be protected with paint or other approved protective covering to <br />prevent deterioration and the cnnnnce or penetration of moisture. <br />(7) fhere shall be no chimneys or parts thereof which are defective, deteriorated or in danger <br />of falline- or in such condition or locations as to constitute a fire hazard.
