Mr. Johnny Knight, owner of J. D. Knight Construction and Knight Septic Tank & Grading spoke to the Board during the "Public Comments" section of the meeting concerning a need for a landfill or dump site to dispose of mixed yard debris other than the current landfill on Sanders Road, which is located in southern Lee County. Mr. Knight stated that the tipping fees in Lee County are too high, added to the high gas prices, and the distance haulers have to travel (from northern Lee County) to the current landfill.
