2~ <br />,qty P~BE E65 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />MINUTES OF THE RECESSED MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />AUGUST 23, 2005 <br />The recessed teleconference meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 p.m. in the County Manager's <br />Office, Room 100, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. <br />Commissioners present for the teleconference were Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. <br />Lemmond, and Amy L. Stevens. Commissioners W. Chad Adams, Robert H. Brown, <br />Nathan E. Paschal, and Robert T. Reives participated via phone. Also present for the <br />meeting was County Manager David M. Smitherman, County Attorney K. R. Hoyle, and <br />Clerk to the Board Gaynell M. Lee. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and called the recessed meeting to order. The <br />meeting was then turned over to County Attorney K. R. Hoyle. <br />Mr. Hoyle stated that the first order of business was to consider a budget <br />amendment appropriation to the Lease Agreement presented by Brick Capital <br />Community Development for one month's rent as a security deposit in the amount of <br />$2,581.33. The deposit would cover a suite consisting of 2,213 square feet in the <br />former Wicker School building located at 806 S. Vance Street that would be used as <br />clinical and/or office space for the Children's Dental Clinic operated by the Lee County <br />Health Department. Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve a budget amendment <br />appropriation for a security deposit of $2,581.33 for one month's rent at the former <br />Wicker School building for dental space. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Hoyle stated that the Lease Agreement submitted by Brick Capital <br />Community Development for dental space at the W. B. Wicker School should be <br />forwarded to the Finance Director for a preaudited certificate. Commissioner Adams <br />moved to forward the Lease Agreement with Brick Capital Community Development to <br />the Finance Director so a preaudited certificate could be approved.
