Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a late list penalty request from MVOC, LLC, owner of a <br />Gulfstream aircraft located at the Sanford-Lee County Airport. Tax Administrator Kep <br />Kepley told the Board that MVOC submitted a request in July asking that the late list <br />penalty be waived. They stated in their July 26, 2005 letter to Chairman Hincks that <br />they were unaware of the January 31st listing requirement. They also asked that an <br />adjustment of value be made in the amount of $2,780,000.00. Mr. Kepley <br />recommended that the request to waive the late list penalty of $12,374.98 be denied <br />along with the adjustment of value. Chairman Hincks moved to accept the <br />recommendation of the Tax Administrator to deny both requests from MVOC for the late <br />list penalty and adjustment of value. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered meeting dates for the months of September and October <br />2005. After some discussion, consensus was to hold one meeting in September at 3:00 <br />p.m., Monday, September 19, 2005, and two meetings in October; the first at 9:00 a.m., <br />Monday October 3, 2005, and 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2005. <br />The Board considered a Lease Agreement between the Lee County Health <br />Department and Brick Capital Community Development for dental space at the W. B. <br />Wicker School. Ms. Kate Rumely, Director of Brick Capital Community Development <br />told the Board that she was working on a time-line and would like a signed agreement <br />within the next two weeks. After much discussion, Chairman Hincks deferred action on <br />the matter until the Health Board could meet and made a recommendation. No action <br />was taken on the matter. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Lee County Criminal Justice <br />Partnership Advisory Board. Commissioner Lemmond recommended the following <br />attorney's for appointment: <br />Norman "Chip" Post <br />Eddie Winstead <br />Neil Norris <br />After some discussion Commissioner Lemmond moved to appoint Norman "Chip" Post <br />as a regular meeting to the Lee County Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board <br />and Eddie Winstead as an alternate member.
