The Board considered approval of the Greenwood Small Area Plan. Planner Liz Whitmore, from the Community Development Office, told the Board that a joint public hearing was held on the above mentioned plan on May 16, 2005. Ms. Whitmore stated that the Greenwood Small Area Plan builds on the 2020 Land Use Plan and recommends more detailed goals and strategies specific to the Greenwood area. The Greenwood Small Area Plan will take precedence over the Sanford & Lee County 2020 Land Use Plan, if adopted. After some discussion, Commissioner Adams moved to approve the Greenwood Small Area Plan as presented.
