BK - 00025 PG <br />Aye: Knecht, Parks, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: Dalrymple, Frazier, and Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a 4 to 3 vote. <br />At this time, the Board took a 5 minute recess. Upon returning from recess, with all members <br />present, the meeting resumed. <br />The Board considered a revised Consulting Agreement with Nutrition That Works, LLC for the <br />Health Department's WIC Program. Health Director Terrell Jones stated that Commissioners approved <br />a contract at their June 3 meeting between the Health Department and Nutrition That Works, LLC to <br />provide a Registered Dietician (RD) to fill the vacant WIC Director vacancy in the WIC Program. After <br />the contract was approved the WIC consultant from the NC Nutrition Services Branch informed the <br />Health Director that certain provisions were required by the State for any WIC related contracts. Those <br />changes have been made to the contract and are now presented to Commissioners for consideration. <br />After discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to approve the revised Consulting Agreement between <br />the Lee County Health Department and Nutrition That Works, LLC, a copy of which is attached to these <br />Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a voting delegate for the upcoming August NCACC Conference to be <br />held in Guilford County. Commissioner Womack moved to appoint Commissioner Charles Parks as <br />Lee County's voting delegate for the conference. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Manager John Crumpton presented his Monthly Report for the month of July 2013, a <br />copy of which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. No action was <br />taken. <br />Commissioner Womack discussed HB 94 to Amend Environmental Laws. After discussion, <br />Commissioner Womack moved that the Board oppose any bills deliberated in the House or Senate that <br />pertain to industries not disclosing hazardous materials pumped into the ground without being disclosed <br />across the State. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Womack also asked the Board to review SB 76 — Domestic Energy Jobs Act and <br />let Representative Mike Stone know how you feel about this bill.
