0 UVii i% 20 m 4,710 <br />Lee County Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board <br />Judge Franklin Lanier Pleasure of the Board <br />Janice Everheart, Probation Officer Pleasure of the Board <br />Randy Todd, General Community Pleasure of the Board <br />* Reappointed <br />Chairman Hincks recessed the meeting to 6:00 p.m. <br />At 6:00 p.m. all Board members, with the exception of Commissioner Ed Paschal, <br />convened in Courtroom #4 at the old Lee County Courthouse to hear a presentation from <br />Community Development Staff concerning the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). <br />Chairman Hincks called the meeting to order. <br />Assistant Community Development Director Marshall Downey presented a power <br />point presentation to Commissioners on the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) and <br />answered questions. Implementation of the new UDO is suggested for January 1, 2006. <br />No action was taken on the matter. <br />At 7:00 p.m. Commissioners and Planning Board staff met to conduct joint public <br />hearings as advertised for this date and time. <br />Chairman Hincks called the joint public hearings to order. <br />Planner Althea Thompson outlined the first petition by Duran Johnson for a text <br />amendment to the Lee County Zoning Ordinance to allow "Churches" as a permitted use <br />in the Highway Commercial zoning district. If approved, the Ordinance would be <br />amended as follows: Article VII. District Regulations. Section 3. Table of Permitted <br />Uses, by adding a section to allow Churches and their customary uses including <br />childcare on premises. <br />Chairman Hincks opened the joint public hearing for the above mentioned <br />rezoning request. <br />No one present spoke in favor of or against the text amendment as stated above. <br />Chairman Hincks closed the public hearing. <br />Planner Althea Thompson outlined the second petition by ACA/PJA, LLC to <br />rezone approximately 1.15 acres of land at 2325 Jefferson Davis Highway from <br />Residential Restricted district to Highway Commercial district. <br />Chairman Hincks opened the joint public hearing. <br />8 <br />
