Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks recessed the meeting until 7:30 p.m. at the old Lee County <br />Courthouse. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />recessed. <br />At 7:30 p.m., all Commissioners, with the exception of Commissioner Paschal, <br />resumed their meeting in Courtroom 44 at the old Lee County Courthouse. <br />Chairman Hincks called the meeting to order. <br />Planner Liz Whitmore presented to the Commissioners the Greenwood Small <br />Area Plan. Ms. Whitmore stated that the Greenwood Small Area Plan Steering <br />Committee approved the recommended draft plan and the plan will build on the Sanford- <br />Lee County 2020 Land Use Plan which will recommend more detailed goals and <br />strategies for the Greenwood area. She also stated that the Steering Committee held two <br />public workshops to obtain public input and generated a list of growth and development <br />issues affecting Greenwood area residents, and a list of goals representing what they <br />would like their community to belike. The Committee also discussed strategies that <br />could be used to reach some of the goals identified for the area and used public input to <br />help develop the plan. <br />Steering Committee member Tommy Brooks spoke briefly concerning the work <br />of the committee and the proposed plan. <br />3 <br />
