r •n <br />• Addition of new Assistant County Manager position and classification to <br />the Lee County Pay Plan <br />• Home and Community Care Block Grant for Senior Services <br />• Application for the Criminal Justice Partnership Program <br />• Resolution of recognition for Bishop Charles Mellette (copy attached) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives read and presented a resolution of recognition for Bishop <br />Charles Mellette for his work with youth at Christian Provision Ministries church and the <br />recent I O'h annual Positive Direction for Youth conference held in Raleigh. <br />The Board considered a recommendation from the Planning Board concerning <br />three parcels of land at the new Lee County Industrial Park. This item was tabled from <br />the April meeting so Economic Development Director Bob Heuts could be present to <br />answer questions concerning buffer matters. Planner Marshall Downey briefly outlined <br />the rezoning request from the Economic Development Office and turned discussion over <br />to Mr. Heats. Mrs. Donna Brown of 1334 Deep River Road had questions and concerns <br />pertaining to her property which is located approximately twenty-five feet from the <br />property line to one parcel of land being considered for rezoning. After much discussion, <br />Mr. Heats stated that a one-hundred buffer zone would be required of any business that <br />might build on the rezoned property next to Mrs. Brown. After further discussion, <br />Commissioner Adams moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board to <br />approve the rezoning petition by Economic Development for three parcels of land at the <br />new Lee County Industrial Park and adhere to the one-hundred foot buffer requirements. <br />Copies of the Ordinance Amending the Official Zoning Map of Lee Counry are attached <br />to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the naming of little league fields at Dalrymple Park and a <br />Facility Naming Policy. Parks and Recreation Director John Payne told the Board that <br />this request was tabled at the April I I meeting until a Facility Naming Policy could be <br />drafted for consideration. Mr. Payne was asking that two little league fields at Dalrymple <br />Park be named in honor of Mr. Rex McLeod and Mr. Doug Johnson for their dedication <br />
