Wicker School and gym <br />• Demolition of house owned jointly with the City of Sanford at 301 N. <br />First Street (cop), attached) <br />• Foreclosure of 2002 delinquent real estate taxes <br />• Carolina Trace Fire Department agreement with United Financial to <br />purchase two new trucks <br />• Proclamation to proclaim May as "Relay for Life Month" - (copy <br />attached) <br />• Renewal contract for inmate services between Sanford Correctional <br />Center and Lee County Operations Center (copy attached) <br />• Approval for Sheriffs Office to apply for Governor's Crime <br />Commission for a joint grant with the City of Sanford for $22,121 <br />• Quiz Bowl Grant application for the Library in the amount of $113.26 <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Flincks, Lemmond, Reives. and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond had questions pertaining to the purchase of two (2) new <br />trucks at the Carolina Trace Fire Department. Chief Andy Thomas was present and <br />answered questions from Board members concerning the agreement with United <br />Financial. <br />The Board considered a recommendation from the Planning Board concerning <br />three (3) parcels to be rezoned at the new Lee County Industrial Park. Chairman Hincks <br />moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board to approve the request. <br />After some discussion. Commissioner Brown moved to table the matter until the next <br />meeting in May when Economic Development Director Bob Hems could attend and <br />answer questions concerning buffer matters. Upon a vote of Commissioner Brown's <br />motion, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Flineks, Lemmond, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nav: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request from Brick Capital CDC asking that the County <br />of Lee share all the parking lots and spaces on the Wicker School campus, both county- <br />owned and Brick Capital-owned through a Reciprocal Parking Easement.
