0 0 <br />K0,t 20 I"CE 328 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE. STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />APRIL 11. 2005 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina. convened at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. <br />Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Robert H. Brown, Herbert A. Hincks, <br />Jerry M. Lemmond, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. Commissioner Nathan E. <br />Paschal was in the hospital and therefore unable to attend the meeting. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted: <br />Commissioner Bob Brown delivered the invocation and led the pledge of <br />allegiance. <br />The Board considered changes to the agenda. Chairman Hincks stated that the <br />item concerning the recommendation from the Planning Board pertaining to the rezoning <br />parcels of land at the new Lee County Industrial Park would be moved from the consent <br />agenda to new business. County Manager David Smitherman asked that the Board <br />consider a request from Brick Capital CDC concerning the W. B. Wicker School project. <br />Commissioner Stevens asked that the matter concerning the naming of little league fields <br />at Dalrymple Park be pulled from the agenda until a policy can be implemented at the <br />May meeting. Commissioner Brown moved to approve the above changes to the agenda. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the consent agenda as amended, <br />which consisted of the following items: <br />• Minutes from the March 21, 2005 regular meeting <br />• Budget amendment # 04/11/05/917 (copy attached) <br />• Approval to fill vacant Real Property Appraiser position in Tax Office <br />
