0 0 K0,t 20 I"CE 328 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE. STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA APRIL 11. 2005 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina. convened at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Robert H. Brown, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. Commissioner Nathan E. Paschal was in the hospital and therefore unable to attend the meeting. Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted: Commissioner Bob Brown delivered the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. The Board considered changes to the agenda. Chairman Hincks stated that the item concerning the recommendation from the Planning Board pertaining to the rezoning parcels of land at the new Lee County Industrial Park would be moved from the consent agenda to new business. County Manager David Smitherman asked that the Board consider a request from Brick Capital CDC concerning the W. B. Wicker School project. Commissioner Stevens asked that the matter concerning the naming of little league fields at Dalrymple Park be pulled from the agenda until a policy can be implemented at the May meeting. Commissioner Brown moved to approve the above changes to the agenda. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Reives, and Stevens Nay: None Absent: Paschal The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the consent agenda as amended, which consisted of the following items: • Minutes from the March 21, 2005 regular meeting • Budget amendment # 04/11/05/917 (copy attached) • Approval to fill vacant Real Property Appraiser position in Tax Office
