, ' <br />ACE `26'1_ <br />._U i F: <br />LuD( <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />FEBRUARY 21, 2005 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina. convened at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillerest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. <br />Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams. Robert H. Brown, Herbert A. Hincks, <br />Jerry M. Lemmond, Nathan E. Paschal, and Amy L. Stevens. Commissioner Robert T. <br />Reives was absent. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />Chairman Hincks led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The Board considered additions and changes to the agenda. The following items <br />were added to the agenda by Commissioners and staff: <br />I. Resolution adopting a vision statement for Lee County <br />2. Funding request from the Railroad House Historical Association <br />3. Resolution to establish the Board of Equalization and Review <br />4. Bid award for grading at the Tramway Road Park <br />5. Resolution authorizing the Chairman and Clerk to execute contracts with the <br />City of Sanford for the purchase of the water system (copy attached) <br />6. Chairman Hincks stated that the consent agenda item for approval of an audit <br />contract with Dixon Hughes for audit services was denied per the County <br />Manager's recommendation and bids would be solicited for this service <br />7. Letters of support to Congressman Bob Etheridge, Senator Elizabeth Dole, <br />Senator Richard Burr, Representative Howard Coble, and Representative <br />Robin Hayes for support of the Environmental Impact RC&D programs across <br />the United States <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the above additions to the agenda. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />
