BOOK 9 Ki 4 <br />MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Tuesday, April 17, 1979 <br />The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners <br />for Lee County, North Carolina, convened at 6:30 o'clock p, m„ in the <br />Commissioners Room of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, <br />Sanford, North Carolina, on Tuesday, April 17, 1979. <br />Those present were Commissioners Jack D. Funderburke, <br />K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, Clyde J. Rhyne and Gordon A. Wicker. <br />Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business <br />was transacted: <br />Commissioner Nielsen moved that the Board go into Executive <br />Session to consider the personnel matter relating to the dismissal of Mrs. <br />Sara O. Mawyer, from the Lee County Department of Social Services. Comm- <br />issioner Rhyne seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Present in addition to the Commissioners, were Mr. James <br />Coats, Director of the Department of Social Services, Mrs. Sara O. Mawyer, <br />and her attorney, Mr. George McDermott. <br />The Chairman directed the Clerk to read the decision of the <br />Board to the parties.
