X70 <br />The Clerk read to the Board a letter from the Mental Health <br />Authority expressing appreciation for the appropriation to assist them out of <br />their financial difficulties. <br />Commissioner Rhyne moved that the sum of $13, 501. 80 be trans- <br />ferred from the Revaluation Fund to the Appraisal Fund in the Tax Supervisor's <br />budget for the purpose of paying Trumble, McGirt & Associates, their statement <br />of April 27, 1979. Commissioner Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a roll <br />call vote, Commissioners Funderburke, Nielsen, Rhyne, Wicker and Harmon <br />voted for it and no one voted against it. <br />The request of Landmark Engineers for a two months extension <br />on their contract of preparing tax maps was considered and discussed. Upon <br />motion of Commissioner Rhyne, duly seconded by Commissioner Funderburke, <br />it was unanimously resolved to extend the contract completion date from July 1, <br />1979, until September 1, 1979. <br />The request of the Sanford Chamber of Commerce for funds for <br />industrial development was read to the Board. <br />Mrs. Beatrice Fields, County Finance Officer, appeared before <br />the Board and discussed several proposed budget ordinances. <br />The Board first considered an ordinance to amend the original <br />budget that was presented on July 17, 1978, in reference to the Lee County water <br />lines in the Osgood-Colon communities, to read as follows: <br />Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of <br />Lee County, North Carolina, in regular session assembled: <br />Section 1: The following amounts are hereby appropriated for <br />the operation of the Lee County Water Lines - Colon-Osgood Fund <br />for the period July 1, 1978 to July 1, 1981, according to the follow- <br />ing summary and schedule: <br />CODE <br />PURPOSE <br />APPROPRIATION <br />62-201-01 <br />Administrative Expense <br />26, 000 <br />62-201-04 <br />Architectural/Engineering Basic Fees <br />78,000 <br />62-201-34 <br />Project Inspection Fees/Audit Fees <br />29, 500 <br />62-201-42 <br />Preliminary Expense <br />16, 000 <br />62-201-57 <br />Contingencies <br />116, 605 <br />62-201-73 <br />Construction and Project Improvement <br />1,191, 895 <br />62-201-75 <br />Land, Easements, and Rights-of-Way <br />2, 000 <br />TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS-Lee County Water <br />Lines-Colon-Osgood Fund <br />1,460, 000 <br />book 90432. <br />Section 2: It is estimated that the following Lee County Water Lines- <br />Colon-Osgood Fund Revenue will be available during the period July 1, <br />1978, to July 1, 1981, to meet the foregoing Lee County Water Lines- <br />Colon-Osgood Fund appropriations. <br />C ODE <br />REVENUE SOURCE <br />AMOUNT <br />62..349-00 Economic Development Administration <br />62-349-01 N.
