Commissioner Nielsen seconded the motion <br />and upon a roll call vote, Commissioners Funderburke, Nielsen, Rhyne, Wicker <br />and Harmon voted for it and no one voted against it. <br />Mr. Moore, following the budget amendments, reviewed at length <br />the requirements of the CETA Program as re-enacted and the new guide lines and <br />monitoring which will be required. <br />The Clerk reported that the Social Services Department had made <br />inquiry of the State Department of Social Services concerning the abortion program <br />and the reply they had received was to the effect that this was a State mandated <br />program which was financed solely with state funds and that the Lee County Depart- <br />ment of Social Services was required to participate in the program. <br />Representatives of the Home Builders Association appeared before <br />the Board and requested that additional personnel be employed in the Sanitarians <br />office inorder to meet the demands of the public for service. <br />Representatives of the Department of Public Health also appeared <br />and confirmed that there was a need for additional personnel. <br />The representatives of the Home Builders Association expressed <br />their willingness to pay higher fees, if necessary, to defray the expense of <br />additional personnel. <br />
