BOOK Gi P.AGE 144 <br />Llff, COUNTY <br />Committed Today for o Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION <br />OF OFFER <br />TO PURCHASE TWO VACANT LOTS <br />ON <br />WALL STREET, SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners received an offer to <br />purchase two vacant lots on Wall Street in Sanford, North Carolina, and on June <br />20, 2006, adopted a resolution authorizing the sale of the lots through the upset <br />bid procedure of North Carolina General Statute Section 160A-269; and <br />WHEREAS, there were three different upset bids following the initial <br />advertisement and the last and highest bids were submitted by Blandonia <br />Presbyterian Church USA as follows: <br />408 Wall Street (pin 9642-68-2352-00) $1,600 <br />406 Wall Street (pin 9642-68-2257-00) $1,600 <br />Total $3,200 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County resolves that: <br />A) With respect to the lot identified as 408 Wall Street, which is solely <br />owned by Lee County, the high bid is accepted and the appropriate <br />County officials are authorized to execute the required documents <br />necessary to transfer title to the property upon payment of the <br />purchase price; and <br />B) With respect to the lot identified as 406 Wall Street, which is jointly <br />owned with the City of Sanford, the high bid is accepted contingent <br />upon its acceptance by the City Council of the City of Sanford and, <br />when and if such acceptance is given, the appropriate County <br />officials are authorized to execute the documents necessary to <br />transfer title of the County's interest in the property upon payment <br />of the purchase price. <br />
