BK:00021 PG:0041 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />MINUTES OF THE WORK SESSION AND REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />JULY 17, 2006 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, <br />State of North Carolina, convened at 1:30 p.m. in the Gordon Wicker Community <br />Conference Room, Room #106, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, to conduct a work session to discuss the <br />proposed location of a new Administrative Building. Commissioners present <br />were W. Chad Adams, Robert H. Brown, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, <br />Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and called the work session to order. <br />Assistant County Manager Kenny Cole presented a power point <br />presentation recapping property that has been submitted for consideration for a <br />new Administrative Building. Property presented includes the following: <br />1. Buggy Factor, 115 Chatham Street; <br />2. Koury Building, 633 Chatham Street; <br />3. First Federal Building, 155 South Steele Street; <br />4. First Federal extension building, 130 Wicker Street; <br />5. Old National Bank Building, 100 Wicker Street; <br />6. Summey Property, 1620 South Third Street; <br />7. Perry Property (2.3 acres), Carthage Street; <br />8. Sandhills Storage property, 1508 South Third Street; and <br />9. Property adjacent to the Heins Education Building, 106 Gordon <br />Street. <br />A recommendation from Commissioner candidate Mr. Darryl Davis was <br />also presented to build an Allied Health Building for the Health Department on <br />the Central Carolina Community College campus. <br />The existing Youth Services Building next to the Lee County Government <br />Center on Hillcrest Drive was also discussed. <br />
