BOOK 21 PIGE 09 <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Manager David Smitherman presented the Monthly Financial <br />Report. Finance Director Lisa Minter discussed sales tax revenue projections. <br />Chairman Hincks discussed the proposal presented by Progressive <br />Contracting for the Buggy Factory on Chatham Street. It was stated that a firm <br />proposal has been received from Progressive Contracting but no firm numbers <br />have been received as to the cost for the County to renovate the building. After <br />some discussion, the Board agreed to hold a work session following the regular <br />meeting on July 17, 2006, to address renovation of the Buggy Factory, study <br />other options presented for consideration, and needs for a new building. The <br />Board requested that a record be compiled of all correspondence received <br />concerning other available property and submit to the Commissioners for review <br />at least two weeks prior to the July 17th work session. <br />The Board took a ten-minute recess at this time. <br />Upon returning from recess, with all members present, the meeting <br />resumed. <br />Chairman Hincks moved to go into closed session to consult with the <br />County Attorney to protect the attorney-client privilege per N.C. General Statute <br />143-318.11(a)(3). Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the <br />Board was in closed session. Upon completing business in closed session, <br />Chairman Hincks moved to go out of closed session. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered annual appointments to various boards and <br />commissions. The following individuals were nominated by various <br />Commissioners and approved to serve for the terms shown: <br />6 <br />
