0 BOOK c0 PAGE100(i RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT OF OFFERS TO PURCHASE TWO VACANT LOTS IN THE BLAND LAND SUBDIVISION AT 406 AND 408 WALL STREET, SANFORD, NC WHEREAS, the County of Lee acquired title to a vacant lot located in the Bland Land Subdivision at 408 Wall Street, Sanford, NC, by three deeds recorded in Deed Book 525 on Pages 624, 630, and 632 in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Lee County which property is more particular described as follows: Beginning at Bernice Wicker's corner on the western line of an alley on the south side of Walls street in the City of Sanford, and running thence as the line of said alley northward 46 ft to Wall Street; thence westward, with a line of Wall Street 53 ft to a stake; thence south 4112 west 55.4 ft to a stake; thence south 46 west 98 ft to a stake on dry creek; thence up said creek about 18 ft to Bernice Wicker's corner; thence as his line north 41 east 121 ft to another of his corners; thence with another of his lines north 88 east 37 ft to the beginning, being one of the lots in the subdivision by J.F. Hollensworth of lot number 18 in the plan of the subdivision addition to the City of Sanford known as "Bland Land" a map of which is recorded in the Lee County Registry in Book of Surveys 1 Page 8 (now Plat Cabinet 2 Slide 8). WHEREAS, the County of Lee and the City of Sanford acquired title to a vacant lot located in the Bland Land Subdivision at 406 Wall Street, Sanford, NC, by deed recorded in Book 573 Page 500 in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Lee County which property is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a stake on the western edge of the alley, said alley being on the south side of Wall Street and said stake being 46 ft from Wall Street; and running thence south 88 west 37 ft to a stake; then south 41 west 121 ft out to a stake on dry creek; thence up said creek about 18 ft out to Virgil Hammer Corner's; thence at his line north 46 east 82 ft to another of his corner's; thence another of his lines north 88 east 45 ft to another of his corner's on said alley; thence as the line of said alley 46 feet to the beginning being the middle lot fronting on said alley of the division of lot number 18 on the plans of the subdivision addition to the City of Sanford known as the "Bland Land" a map of which is recorded in the Lee County registry in Book of Survey's 1 Page 8 (now Plat cabinet 2 Slide 8). WHEREAS, the County of Lee has a contract with the City of Sanford to collect its taxes for it; WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County desire to dispose of said properties as being surplus to its needs;
