• <br />BK - 00025 PG - 0671 <br />LE E COU NTY <br />'� ✓.�,�N '�... x», t s��Fs.c;�ski sr ._bra..%. t , _ <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />BUDGET WORK SESSION <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />JUNE 4, 2013 <br />The budget work session of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of <br />North Carolina, convened at 1:15 p.m. in the Gordon Wicker Conference Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. <br />Commissioners present were Amy M. Dalrymple, Charles T. Parks, and James K. Womack. <br />Staff in attendance included County Manager John Crumpton and Clerk to the Board Gaynell <br />Lee. <br />Chairman Parks called the meeting to order. <br />The Board met with staff and members of the Central Carolina Community College <br />Board of Directors to review and discuss their requested FY 2013 -14 budget. A breakdown <br />from each campus — Lee Main Campus, Wicker Campus, Emergency Training Center, <br />Telecommunications Center, and Lee Early College was presented. It was stated that all tuition <br />received by the college goes to the State. <br />The Board discussed needed repairs to the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. Accounts <br />for the Civic Center are kept by the Community College as a separate account. The hotel <br />occupancy tax was also discussed. <br />Commissioner Dalrymple left the meeting at 2:10 p.m. <br />The bond referendum requested by the College was discussed. The following priority <br />list was presented: <br />1. Health Science Center <br />2. Renovations to Vet Tech Center <br />3. Expansion /renovation to Civic Center <br />4. Expansion /renovation to the Main Campus — Emergency Training <br />Center, and <br />5. Renovations to the Business Incubator <br />At 3 p.m. Chairman Parks and Commissioner Womack met with staff from Lee County <br />General Services. General Services Director Russell Spivey presented recent projects that his <br />department has completed over the past year — chiller replacement at the Government Center, <br />
