WHEREAS, the Tax Supervisor and Trumble-McGuirk and Associates, have presented material for consideration by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County and the Board has heard private citizens who have presented their views on valuations; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners havereviewed and considered all matters pertaining to such schedules of values, standards and rules; Now, Therefore, BE IT ORDERED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County, as follows: Section 1. That the schedules of values, standards, and rules as set forth in the volume entitled TRUMBLE-McGUIRK ASSOCIATES DIVISION OF COLE /LAYER/ TRUMBLE COMPANY APPRAISAL MANUAL FOR LEE COUNTY, N. C., DATED FOR USE AS OF JAN. 1, 1980 are approved and adopted as the uniform schedules of values, standards and rules to be used in appraising real property in the County for the octennial revaluation of real property required as of January 1, 1980. Section 2. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause a copy of this order to be published in the form of a notice in a newspaper having general circulation in the County, stating in the notice that the schedules, standards, and rules to be used in the next scheduled reappraisal of real property have been adopted and that they are open to examination by any property owner of the County at the office of the Tax Supervisor for a period 10 days from the date of publication of the notice. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was adopted by a majority vote as follows: AYE: Funderburke, Nielsen, Rhyne, Harmon NO: Wicker Mr. Elwin J. Buchanan, Grants Director, appeared before the Board and reviewed his written report as to the status of the various projects supervised by his office. Mr. Ed Fleis, of Williams & Works, Inc. , Engineers, appeared before the Board and requested authority for Change Order No. 1, in the County's contract with W. & W. Contracting Company. After considerable discussion in which the Board questioned why the necessary meters had not been included in the original contract, the Board reluctantly authorized the Chairman to execute the change order for and on behalf of the County, upon motion of Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne, seconded by Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, which motion was unanimous- ly adopted, upon a vote.
