WHEREAS, the Tax Supervisor and Trumble-McGuirk <br />and Associates, have presented material for consideration by <br />the Board of Commissioners for Lee County and the Board has <br />heard private citizens who have presented their views on <br />valuations; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners havereviewed <br />and considered all matters pertaining to such schedules of <br />values, standards and rules; Now, Therefore, <br />BE IT ORDERED by the Board of Commissioners for <br />Lee County, as follows: <br />Section 1. That the schedules of values, standards, <br />and rules as set forth in the volume entitled <br />TRUMBLE-McGUIRK ASSOCIATES <br />DIVISION OF COLE /LAYER/ TRUMBLE <br />COMPANY APPRAISAL MANUAL FOR <br />LEE COUNTY, N. C., DATED FOR USE <br />AS OF JAN. 1, 1980 <br />are approved and adopted as the uniform schedules of values, <br />standards and rules to be used in appraising real property <br />in the County for the octennial revaluation of real property <br />required as of January 1, 1980. <br />Section 2. The Clerk is authorized and directed to <br />cause a copy of this order to be published in the form of a <br />notice in a newspaper having general circulation in the County, <br />stating in the notice that the schedules, standards, and rules <br />to be used in the next scheduled reappraisal of real property <br />have been adopted and that they are open to examination by any <br />property owner of the County at the office of the Tax Supervisor <br />for a period 10 days from the date of publication of the notice. <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was adopted by a majority vote as follows: <br />AYE: Funderburke, Nielsen, Rhyne, <br />Harmon <br />NO: Wicker <br />Mr. Elwin J. Buchanan, Grants Director, appeared before the Board <br />and reviewed his written report as to the status of the various projects supervised by <br />his office. <br />Mr. Ed Fleis, of Williams & Works, Inc. , Engineers, appeared <br />before the Board and requested authority for Change Order No. 1, in the County's <br />contract with W. & W. Contracting Company. After considerable discussion in <br />which the Board questioned why the necessary meters had not been included in the <br />original contract, the Board reluctantly authorized the Chairman to execute the <br />change order for and on behalf of the County, upon motion of Commissioner Clyde J. <br />Rhyne, seconded by Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, which motion was unanimous- <br />ly adopted, upon a vote. <br />
