BOOK 9 PAGE t <br />COUNTY.OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election <br />will be held in the County of Lee, North Carolina, on <br />November 6, 1979, for the purpose of submitting to the <br />qualified voters of said County the question whether they <br />shall approve or disapprove, (1) the indebtedness to be <br />incurred by the issuance of bonds of said County of the <br />maximum principal amount of $7,700,000, which indebtedness <br />shall be secured by pledge of the County's'faith and <br />credit, and (2) the levy of a tax for the payment of such <br />bonds and (3)_ the bond order entitled, "Bond order <br />authorizing the issuance of $7,700,000 School Bonds of the <br />County of Lee", adopted by the Board of Commissioners on <br />September 5, 1979, to authorize the issuance of said bonds <br />and the levy of such tax. <br />The School Bonds are authorized to pay capital <br />costs of improvements of and additions to Lee Senior High <br />School, including the acquisition and installation of fur- <br />nishings and equipment necessary therefor, in order to <br />maintain public schools in the County for the school term <br />prescribed by law. <br />The ballots to be issued at said election shall <br />contain the words', "SHALL the order authorizing $7,700,000 <br />of bonds secured by a.pledge of faith and credit of the <br />County of,Lee to pay capital costs of improvements of and <br />additions to Lee Senior High School, including the acquisition <br />and installation, of furnishings and equipment necessary therefor, <br />in order to maintain public schools in the County for the <br />school. term prescribed by.law, and a tac to be levied for <br />
