BOOK 9 PACE 5 19 0 <br />SECTION 2. That the execution of said Grant Agree- <br />ment in quadruplicate on behalf of said Board of Commissioners <br />by K. S. Harmon, Chairman, and the impression of the offical <br />seal of the County of Lee, and the attestation of said execution <br />by K. R. Hoyle, Clerk to Board, is hereby authorized, adopted, <br />approved, accepted and ratified. <br />SECTION 3. That the Chairman of Sanford-Lee County <br />Airport Commission, is hereby authorized to execute payment <br />requests under this Grant Agreement on behalf of said Board of <br />Commissioners. <br />SECTION 4. That the Grant Agreement referred to here- <br />inabove shall be attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution <br />as though it were fully copied herein, <br />Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Elwin J. Buchanan, Grants Director, gave a report to the Board <br />on his efforts to find a grant to assist on the dam project at San-Lee Park and also on <br />his efforts to find a grant to assist on the jail project. <br />The request of the County Finance Officer to amend the Lee County <br />Involvement Council Budget to increase salaries and wages by $138. 00 and to <br />reduce social security by $138. 00, was presented to the Board. Commissioner <br />Rhyne moved that the budget amendment be approved. Commissioner Nielsen <br />seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote, Commissioners Funderburke, <br />Nielsen, Rhyne, Wicker and Harmon voted for it and no one voted against it. <br />The Chairman reported that Mr. Clark would appear before the <br />Board at its regular meeting on Monday, October 1st, 1979, to present the personnel <br />employed in the Tax Supervisor's mapping section. The Chairman also advised the <br />Board that the Maintenance Department will supply the shelving for use in that.office. <br />The Chairman reminded the Board that the Triangle Council of <br />Government would have its annual meeting on Wednesday, September 26, 1979, in <br />Raleigh, at the McKinnon Center. <br />The Chairman reported that material pertaining to the Housing <br />Opportunity Plan (HOP) would be mailed to them shortly. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne, seconded by Comm- <br />issioner Gordon A. Wicker, which motion was unanimously adopted, the Board <br />authorized the Maintenance Department to replace the carpet in the Clerk's office <br />in the Lee County Courthouse. <br />Commissioner Gordon A.
