AIML nulla ,PACE 645 i,,NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY: Section 1.. The Board of Comm'i'ssioners for Lee County does hereby express its profound appreciation and commend MR, JAMES LAFAYETTE CLARK for his years of devoted and outstanding service to fee County. Section 2., This resolution shall become a part of the. public records of the February 18; 1980,. meeting, and a copy shall be duly certified,by the Clerk for presentation to MR. JAMES LAFAYETTE CLARK, Commissioner 'Jack D,-Funderburke moved that the resolution concerning Mr. Clark be adopted, Commissioner Clyde •J..,Rhyne seconded the .,motion and.upon a-vote it was unanimously adopted, The Chairman read to the Board a letter from-the State' Department of Social Services to the County Depart{gent concerning the overall budget for social services. . Tlie Chairman: read to the Board a letter acknowledging* that the State agency would honor the -rate;of; reirrmbursement for-travel as' established by a` County in the event the County's rate exceeded that established'by the State. The Board next discussed the proposed Ordinance concerning the Library. ` i ' r pp Commissioner. Clyde.J. Rhyne had the Clerk read a letter pertaining to his resignation from,a partnership upon.his -election to. the office of County.Comm- - ..issioner.- Cbmmissioner Rhyne_stated.that he.had.this done in order to clarify the point that,he did not have any financial interest iri.any industrial site which would benefit from the County's: establis"liment of sewer or water lines. The Board next considered a request for the sale of various parcels . of land which the County owned in Sunset Hills Subdivision and on Seventh Street. After reviewing and discussing the parcels,.-Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the adoption of the following: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AT PUBLIC AUCTION WHEREAS, ,the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee, desires to dispose of certain-surplus property of the County of Lee; NOW, THEREFORE,,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, THAT: . 1. The, following described property is hereby declared to be surplus,to the needs of the County of Lee: (a) All of Lots. 22, 23, 24; and 25, in the Sun-Set Hills Subdivision, being the. property conveyed by F. Jefferson Ward, Commissioner, to-Lee County,. by ` deed dated December 1, 1977, and recorded in Book 288; page 273, Lee County, Registry, to which deed reference is hereby made for a more perfect description. `
