023 <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: <br />Concerning Proposal to Establish Seven Fire Protection <br />and Emergency Response Service Districts <br />Within the Existing Tramway, Deep River, Cape Fear, <br />Northview, Lemon Springs, Carolina Trace, and <br />Northwest Pocket Rural Fire Protection Districts <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to North Carolina <br />General Statute 153A- 302(c), of a public hearing to consider <br />whether the Lee County Board of Commissioners should <br />establish seven Fire Protection and Emergency Response <br />Service Districts within the existing Tramway, Deep River, <br />Cape Fear, Northview, Lemon Springs, Carolina Trace, and <br />Northwest Pocket Rural Fire Protection Districts. The public <br />hearing will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, at 6:00 <br />p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, First Floor, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North <br />Carolina. All interested citizens and organizations are invited <br />to. attend. <br />A report concerning this proposal is available for <br />public inspection at the Office of the Clerk to the Board of <br />Commissioners, 408 Summit Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, <br />between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through <br />Friday. The report contains: (1) a map of the proposed service <br />districts showing their boundaries, (2) a statement that the <br />proposed districts meet the standards set out in N.C.G.S. <br />153A- 302(a), and (3) a plan for the provision of fire protection <br />and emergency response services. The full report is also <br />available on the Lee County web site at www.leecountync. <br />A map of the proposed service districts is shown below. <br />The areas shaded in gray include the City of Sanford and the <br />Clearwater Forest Fire Service District which are not affected <br />by this proposal. <br />Dated, this 15th day of June, 2013. <br />Gaynell M.
