BOOK 9 FACE 679. <br />a <br />The Clerk presented a Resolution pertaining to the gift of 18. 29 <br />acre tract of land to Lee County from Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Reeves, Jr. The <br />resolution was read in its entirety. A copy of the Resolution is attached hereto <br />marked as Exhibit "D" and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner <br />Clyde J. Rhyne moved the adoption of the said Resolution. Commissioner Lila P. <br />Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Clerk presented a Power of Attorney in favor of Mrs. Sarah <br />C. Reeves, authorizing her to execute leases for the tobacco allotment on the land <br />heretofore given by the Reeves' to Lee County. The Power of Attorney was read <br />in its entirety and a copy is attached as Exhibit "E". Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen <br />moved that the execution and delivery of the Power of Attorney to Mrs. Sarah C. <br />Reeves be authorized and directed. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The Clerk was authorized to <br />prepare a letter for the Chairman acknowledging receipt of these gifts. <br />The Board unanimously RESOLVED that a Resolution of Appreciation <br />be prepared for Mr. Chuck Grubbs for his services as Director of the Lee County <br />Parks and Recreation System. <br />The Chairman announced the schedule of the meetings of the Board <br />of Equalization and Review and the study session on May 20, concerning the County <br />Manager form of administration. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, it was <br />adjourned. <br />N <br />C <br />
