Harmon, Chairman of the Lee <br />County Board of Commissioners, is hereby authorized and dir- <br />ected to coordinate with the City of Sanford in filing an <br />application for Growth Center Designation in Lee County. <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mrs. Beatrice Fields, County Finance Officer, appeared before <br />the Board and presented for its consideration a project budget for the improvements <br />at Lee County Senior 'High School. After discussion and review, Commissioner <br />Clyde J. Rhyne moved the adoption of the following: <br />County of Lee, North Carolina <br />Lee County Bond Proceeds-School <br />Code <br />62-2o1-oo <br />Code <br />62-384-00 <br />Be it ordained by the Lee County Board of Comm- <br />issioners in its regular session assembled approved the <br />adoption of the following budget: <br />Section 1: The following funds are hereby approp- <br />riated for Lee County Bond Proceeds-Schools for the period <br />May 19, 1980, to June 30, 1982, according to the following <br />summary and schedule; <br />Section 2: That for said project there is hereby <br />appropriated the following: <br />Purpose Appropriation <br />Transfer to Schools Capital Outlay Fund 7,700, 000 <br />Section 3: The following Lee County Bond Proceeds-Schools <br />revenue will be available during the period May 19, 1980, to <br />June 30, 1982, to meet the foregoing Lee County Bond Proceeds- <br />Schools appropriations: <br />Revenue Source Amount <br />Sale of Bonds <br />7, 700,000 <br />Section 4: Copies of this budget shall be furnished <br />to the Finance Officer of Lee County to be kept on file for <br />direction in the collection of revenues and expenditure of <br />amounts appropriated. <br />Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon <br />a roll call vote it was adopted as follows: <br />AYE: Funderburke, Nielsen, Rhyne, Wicker and Harmon <br />NAY: None <br />Mrs. Fields then presented Budget Amendment No. 16, pertaining <br />to the Capital Outlay Fund of the appropriations for the Lee County Schools. The <br />amendment had been approved by the Board of Education at its meeting on May 12, <br />1980, and was before the Board for its approval or disapproval. The purpose of the <br />amendment was to budget the anticipated needs of the building program through the <br />end of this fiscal year. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the School's <br />Capital Outlay Fund be amended to show revenue in the amount of $388, 600 from <br />Note and Bond proceeds, Code No. 4810 and a total appropriation of the same amount <br />with $30, 000 allocated to Architect's fees, Code No. 9100-01- 526 and $358, 600 <br />allocated to General Contract, Code No. 9100-01-522.
