0 BOOK 20 P4GF 864 <br />LEEr COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION <br />ADOPTING THE LEE COUNTY <br />PAY FOR PERFORMANCE POLICY <br />WHEREAS, as a result of their 2005 planning retreat, the Lee County Board of Commissioners <br />formally expressed its desire to employ a high quality workforce through the adoption vision <br />statements; and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County Government adopted a formal Work Plan that largely addresses <br />productivity and efficiency improvements of the organization which includes the implementation <br />of a pay for performance program; and <br />WHEREAS, a Performance Appraisal Committee made up of seven members began meeting in <br />early 2005 to begin work on a Performance Appraisal Program for Lee County employees; and <br />WHEREAS, it is recommended by the Performance Appraisal Committee that Lee County <br />establish a policy to provide employees the opportunity to receive an annual salary increase <br />based on meritorious performance, and <br />WHEREAS, the salary increase will be based on their progress toward meeting the goals set <br />forth in their performance agreement that reflects their department's goals and objectives; and <br />WHEREAS, a training program will be implemented and required of all employees prior to <br />implementation of the program for FY 2006-07; and <br />WHEREAS, funding for program rewards will be implemented during the FY 2007-08 budget <br />process, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lee County Board of Commissioners do <br />hereby endorses the recommendation submitted by the Performance Appraisal Committee to <br />implement a Performance Appraisal Program for Lee County employees effective July 1, 2006. <br />Adopted this 201h day of March 2006 <br />Herbert A.
