Ce (4) The property owners in the proposed Service District have the ability to sustain <br />additional special taxes, if any, which are necessary to have fire protection services <br />and emergency medical response provided to the district. <br />Northwest Pocket Service District <br />(1) The proposed Northwest Pocket Fire Service District will consist of approximately <br />39.61 square miles with a resident population of approximately 2641 persons and a <br />population density of approximately 67 persons per square mile. <br />(2) The proposed service district consists of approximately 1833 separate parcels with a <br />2013 assessed tax value of approximately 151.75 million dollars. <br />(3) The present county tax rate paid by property owners in the proposed Northwest <br />Pocket Fire, Ambulance and Rescue Service District is 75 cents per $100 of property <br />valuation and the present additional special tax rate for fire protection services and <br />emergency medical response provided through the Northwest Pocket RFP District is <br />12.9 cents per $100 of property valuation. <br />(4) The property owners in the proposed Service District have the ability to sustain <br />additional special taxes, if any, which are necessary to have fire protection services <br />and emergency medical response provided to the district. <br />WHEREFORE, this Board finds with respect to each of the seven proposed service districts <br />listed above: <br />(1) There is a demonstrable need for providing fire protection services and emergency <br />medical response in each of the seven proposed service districts listed and described above. <br />(2) It is impossible or impracticable to provide fire protection services and emergency <br />medical response on a countywide basis. <br />(3) It is economically feasible to provide fire protection services'and emergency medical <br />response in the seven proposed service districts listed and described above without <br />unreasonable or burdensome annual special tax levies on the property owners in the <br />proposed districts. <br />(4) There is a demonstrable demand for fire protection services and emergency medical <br />response for the proposed services by persons residing in each of the seven proposed <br />service districts listed and described above. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lee County Board of Commissioners does <br />hereby support the Fire Advisory Board's request to transfer fire protection services provided in the <br />area as follows: <br />(1) From the Tramway Rural Fire Protection District to the Tramway Rural Fire Service <br />District, <br />(2) From the Deep River Rural Fire Protection District to the Deep River Rural Fire Service <br />District, <br />4 <br />
