Mr. Andrews stated the Fire Advisory Board met with each of the seven volunte departments to discuss and review their budgets. Mr. Andrews stated the budget increases this ear were mainly for operations, personnel, and grant matches. Of the seven departments, there is only one department where the tax rate will remain the same; four departments are seeing a decrease in their tax base as a result of the new service districts or losses from the revaluation process; and three departments will gain tax base from the new service district, and two will have a rate increase.
