LEE COUNTY <br />n <br />BOOK 21 mF 780 August 13, 2007 <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation anticipates a July 2007 allocation of $505,687 <br />funds of $42,629 needed to complete work in progess from the Highway Fund, a total of $463,058 for <br />secondary road improvements in Lee County for the forthcoming fiscal year. A public meeting was held on <br />August 13, 2007 in the Lee County Commissioners Meeting Room on the expenditures of said funds: <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to retain $53,058 of the total allocation for road additions, property owner <br />participation paving, volunteer fire departments, rescue squad driveways, old subdivision improvement <br />program, overruns, county surveys and right of way acquisition. <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to widen and strengthen SR 1403, Cotton Road using Highway Funds in <br />accordance with GS 136-44.513. Available funds will be applied to widen SR 1403 from 20' to 24' in width and <br />strengthen pavement from SR 1444 to SR 1400 at an estimated cost of $1,360,000.00. Partial Funding will be <br />applied to the project in the amount of $410,000. Additional funds will be applied to the project as they <br />become available. <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation anticipates a July 2007 allocation of $327,286 <br />and remaining funds of $50,359 from the North Carolina Highway Trust Fund, a total of $377,645 for <br />Secondary Road Improvements in Lee County for the forthcoming fiscal year.
