The Committee discussed funding for the Lee County Economic Development Corporation. Commissioner Kelly moved to put $86,543 back in the FY 2007-08 budget for the EDC Office. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Brown and Kelly Nay: Reives Chairman Reives moved the motion had been adopted by a two to one vote. Reductions- • Reduce Lee County School's current expense appropriation by $67,303; • Reduce Health Department vehicle appropriation by $30,000; • Reduce Jail salaries by $5,918 for Pay for Performance adjustment (when the budget was prepared, HR had not completed the review of pay for performance agreements); • Reduce Sandhills Mental Health appropriation by $2,000; • Reduce IT Department budget by $50,625 to remove IT Support Analyst position originally recommended; and • Remove Pay for Performance funding - $31,620. Commissioner Kelly moved to approve the above reductions from the FY 2007-08 budget. Revenue Increases: • Increase Fund Balance appropriated by $28,840 for vehicle for the Crime Scene Investigator position. After some discussion, Interim County Manager Lisa Minter was asked to bring a recommendation to the full Board on how to fund the vehicle for the Crime Scene Investigator position and funding for the EDC Office. 2
