0 BOOK 21 PAGE 6OG <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />MINUTES OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />JUNE 4, 2007 <br />The Finance Committee meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened immediately following the <br />regular meeting of the Board in the Small Conference Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. <br />Committee members present included Robert H. Brown, James C. Kelly, and <br />Robert T. Reives. Interim County Manager Lisa Minter and Clerk to the Board <br />Gaynell Lee were also present. <br />Finance Committee Chairman Robert Reives called the meeting to order. <br />The Committee discussed the following FY 2007-08 budget items: <br />Expenditure Increases: <br />• Increase COLA for all Lee County employees from 2'/z% to 3% <br />(approximately $71,000); <br />• Increase CCCC current expense appropriation by $160,000; <br />• Increase rent expense in Emergency Management budget by <br />$3,552, <br />• Increase HAVEN appropriation by $5,000; <br />• Increase Johnston-Lee-Harnett Community Action appropriation by <br />$2,000; <br />• Increase Register of Deeds budget by $4,530 to increase Register <br />of Deeds' salary to $60,000; <br />• Increase Sheriff's Department budget by $84,437 to add a Crime <br />Scene Investigator position, along with related costs. <br />Commissioner Brown moved to accept the above expenditure increases for <br />the FY 2007-08 budget. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />
