The following signed up to speak and were allowed three minutes: <br />1. Russell Noel, 1413 Cherokee Trail, Sanford <br />2. Keith Clark, 233 Chris Cole Road, Sanford <br />At this time the Board conduced a public hearing for the proposed fire district tax rates for FY <br />2009-10. County Manager John Crumpton presented the proposed tax rates based on the <br />recommendation of the Lee County Fire Advisory Board at the June 1, 2009 meeting. <br />Chairman Hayes opened the public hearing that had been advertised for this date and time. <br />The following signed up to speak in reference to the proposed tax rates: <br />1. Bill Willett, Cumnock Road, Sanford <br />Chairman Hayes closed the public hearing. <br />At this time the Board conducted a public hearing for an economic development project <br />between the Lee County Economic Development Corporation and Score Energy manufacturing <br />company located on Tramway Road. Economic Development Director Bob Heuts discussed the <br />proposed incentive project. <br />Chairman Hayes opened the public hearing that had been advertised for this date and time. <br />The following signed up to speak in reference to the proposed incentive agreement: <br />1. Sanford <br />Chairman Hayes closed the public hearing. <br />The Board considered the Capital Improvement Project (CIP) for FY 2009/2010 through <br />2013/2014. County Manager John Crumpton stated that on June 1, 2009, he presented his <br />recommended CIP for the upcoming year that, if approved, will make necessary repairs to the San- <br />Lee Park dam. Beyond this project, the County will not be able to fund any additional major capital <br />expenditures without a significant tax increase.
