A. <br />_ Information <br />Meeting Date: April 15, 2013 XX Action Item <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />DEPARTMENT <br />CONTACT PERSON <br />REQUEST <br />Resolution Opposing SB 127 <br />Administration <br />John Crumpton, County Manager <br />Resolution Opposing SB 127 <br />SUMMARY Action on this item has been deferred at the last two <br />Commissioners' meetings. Action was deferred at the March 18 meeting until more <br />information could be obtained from surrounding counties that will also be involved with the <br />move. <br />Action was deferred at the April 1S meeting so County Attorney Neil Yarborough could <br />rewrite the Resolution addressing some of the comments addressed by Board members. <br />A bill now in committee in the NC Senate would move Lee County into a new economic <br />region based around Charlotte.
