B. <br />XX Information <br />_ Action Item <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT Economic Incentives Guidelines Draft <br />DEPARTMENT Administration <br />CONTACT PERSON John Crumpton <br />REQUEST Discuss Economic Incentives Guidelines Draft <br />SUMMARY The Board has expressed interest in updating its Economic <br />Incentives Guidelines. After the meeting on March 18 I was asked by Chairman Parks to <br />make recommendations on a few changes to the Guidelines. Those changes involved <br />existing industry incentives and to make the Guidelines more flexible to Commissioners. I <br />have attached those changes in one document that follows. I have also placed in the <br />packet the guideline that was presented at last month's meeting, my original guideline draft <br />and the comments that came back from Tyler Mulligan at the School of Government. <br />BUDGET IMPACT N/A <br />ATTACHMENT(S) 1) Economic Incentives Guidelines Draft (modified), <br />2) Economic Incentives Guidelines Draft (original from March <br />18 meeting), 3) County Manager's original Guideline Draft, 4) Tyler Mulligan's comments <br />on the Draft., and 5) Comments from EDC and Crystal Morphis on the Incentives Draft <br />PUBLIC HEARING No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION The Board discussed an updated guideline at the March 18 <br />meeting. <br />RECOMMENDATION Discuss Economic Incentives Guidelines, recommended <br />changes to draft guideline, and work towards final draft of guidelines. <br />
