various Commissioners for changes to the Resolution and Commissioner Reives suggested <br />the Resolution be shared with the Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development, City of <br />Sanford, Town of Broadway, and businesses for input before adoption. Some Commissioners <br />felt the Resolution was a tough policy and needed more review. No action was taken. <br />At this time, Chairman Parks called for a 10- minute break. After returning from break, <br />with all members present, the meeting resumed. <br />Commissioner Smith passed out applications for a youth progr for fourteen Lee <br />County students he has been working on with Cooperative Extension. -week program <br />would pair the students with a Commissioner and include lessons and <br />civic engagement. Commissioner Smith asked each Commissioned to sp tential <br />students from their district to serve in the program that will ru from July 8 th th. No <br />action was taken.- <br />The Board discussed a Facility Use Policy fo Co . County Manager John <br />Crumpton stated he did not want to prohibit individuals fr ng the County's facilities and <br />grounds but would like guidance on establishing a Facility olicy. County Attorney Neil <br />Yarborough stated Mecklenburg County had recently adopted policy and he would get <br />a copy of that policy and draft one to fit Lee County.
