BRITT REGISTER OF DEEDS FILED Nov 14, 2024 AT 09:18:40 am BOOK 00004 START PAGE 0073 END PAGE 0073 INSTRUMENT # 07219 EXCISE TAX (None) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 615 MAGNOLIA STREET TO THE CITl'OF SANFORD WHEREAS, the County of Lee and the City of Sanford own certain vacant property located at 615 Magnolia Street, PIN number 9642-87-5233-00, Lee County,North Carolina,as shown on a deed recorded in Deed Book 1335,Page 834, in the office of the Register of Deeds for Lee County, to which the record thereof reference is hereby made for more complete description; and, WHEREAS,the taxable value of the property is $7,000.00; and, WHEREAS,the above-referenced property was conveyed to the County as the result of a foreclosure sale; and, WHEREAS, the amount of fees and taxes owed on the property as the result of such sale is $17,224.51; and, WHEREAS,North Carolina General Statute §160A-274 permit the County to convey property to other governments in North Carolina; and, WHEREAS,the County of Lee proposes to dispose of the above described property as it is surplus to the County's needs; and, WHEREAS,the Citv of Sanford has received an offer to purchase the property in the amount of $17,224.51 and the County desires to deed its interest of the property to the City of Sanford to conduct the sale. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of Commissioners as follows: 1. The Lee County Board of Commissioners authorizes the conveyance of the property described above to the City of Sanford pursuant to North Carolina General Statute §160A-274 to conduct the sale of the property. 2.
