After sharing this map with the Board of Commissioners I have heard nothing but negative <br />comments from the members. I expect them to pass a resolution at our next Commissioners meeting on March 18 tH , <br />2013 opposing this change. We are only 30 minutes from the Research Triangle Park and have committed a lot of time <br />and effort to aligning ourselves with natural economic partners in that area. This new map aligns us to the southwest <br />where we do not have a natural regional partnership with anyone except our neighboring counties of Chatham and <br />Moore. <br />We hope that this map is studied further before we are placed in a region that does not make sense for us. After the <br />Board discussion on the 18 I expect that we will be in contact with you to discuss this legislation further. <br />Thank you for all you do in the Legislature and we look forward to discussing this with you very soon. <br />John A.
