Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Brown, Kelly, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle discussed with the Board a Resolution <br />Amending the Composition of the Board of Equalization and Review (Board of E <br />& R). Mr. Hoyle discussed the amended Resolution in question and explained <br />the rotation of certain members of the Board of E & R and answered questions. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve a Resolution Amending the <br />Composition of the Board of Equalization and Review and Making Appointments <br />Thereto, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference <br />made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Brown, Kelly, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a recommendation from the Planning Board in <br />reference to a rezoning petition by Mr. John Daniel to rezone 1.28 acres of land <br />northeast of Pine Forest Road (SR 1173) from Residential Agricultural (RA) <br />district to Highway Commercial (HC) district. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to accept the recommendation of the Planning <br />Board to deny the above rezoning petition by Mr. Daniel. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Brown, Kelly, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives asked the Clerk to forward a letter to Mr. Daniel <br />advising him of the Commissioner's action and also follow-up with clarification <br />from the Planning Department on how individuals are informed about the final <br />vote of the Planning Board. <br />The Board considered a request from the BRAC RTF for Tier One <br />counties to appropriate $7,000.00 to fund the hiring of a firm to prepare a <br />competitive grant application for the Department of Labor "Workforce Innovations <br />in Regional Economic - WIRED". Commissioner Paschal, who serves as one of <br />two Lee County BRAC representatives, told the Board the North Carolina <br />Department of Commerce had announced that grant applications for the <br />2 <br />
