0 <br />BOOK 21 PAGE 39i <br />• LEE COUNTY <br />Cornrnitted Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE <br />OF TITLE TO THE FLOYD L. KNIGHT SCHOOL SITE <br />AND THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF <br />CERTAIN DOCUMENTS <br />RELATED TO IMPROVEMENTS AT THE <br />FLOYD L. KNIGHT SCHOOL <br />WHEREAS, the COPs financing for the 2006 school project has been closed and <br />funds are available to commence work; and <br />WHEREAS, a portion of said funds were to make improvements at the Floyd L. <br />Knight School; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Education has solicited bids and <br />® determined that Bar Construction Company, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder <br />to construct such improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Education on December 12, 2006, adopted <br />a Resolution authorizing the same pattern of construction utilized in building the <br />Southern High School in 2004 and the new middle school in 2006. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, The Lee County Board of Commissioners resolves as <br />follows: <br />1. That it will accept conveyance of the title to the site of the Floyd L. <br />Knight School as shown in the map attached hereto which map is <br />incorporated herein by reference. <br />2. The Chairman or Vice-Chairman and the Clerk to the Board are <br />authorized to execute and deliver on behalf of the County the <br />following documents: <br />(a) Contract between the County and the Board of Education <br />(collectively as owners) and Bar Construction Company, <br />Inc., dated December 7, 2006, for construction of the <br />improvements at Floyd L. Knight School. <br />(b) The Chairman or Vice-Chairman and the Clerk to the Board <br />are authorized to execute and deliver on behalf of the <br />• County a Lease Agreement and a Construction and <br />Acquisition Agreement, substantially in the same form as in <br />
