9 ?AGE 724 <br />Mrs. Beatrice Fields, the Finance Officer, requested that the <br />Board consider meeting on Monday, June 30, 1980, to make year end amendments <br />to the budget. <br />There was a discussion concerning vehicles in the Sheriff's <br />Department. <br />The bids for auctioneering services in connection with the sale of <br />the New Hope School Property were open and considered. The low bid was that of <br />Clinton C. Pickard who offered to auctioneer the property without charge provided <br />that the County make an allowance for advertising. This being the low bid, it <br />was accepted with an allowance of $150. 00 being provided for advertising. The <br />County Attorney reported to the Board that Randy Thomas had instituted a suit <br />against the County and the Broadway Lions Club, growing out of an injury he <br />allegedly sustained at Watson's Lake in Broadway, in June of 1978. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was unanimously adopted, it was <br />resolved to adjourn the meeting until twelve o'clock noon on Monday, June 30th, <br />1980, to re-convene in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />CHAIRMAN <br />C <br />
