9 ipu 733 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA. Monday, July 7, 1980 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioner's Room on the second floor of the CountyOffice Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, July 7, 1980, at 9:30 o'clock a, m. Those present were Commissioners Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, Clyde J. Rhyne, and Gordon A. Wicker. None of the Commissioners were absent. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for business. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: The Reverend Ben Rouse, Pastor of the Jonesboro United Methodist Church, opened the meeting with prayer. The minutes of the meeting held on June 16, 1980, were considered and amended to reverse the name of a movant and seconder and as amended, the minutes were approved and ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne, seconded by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. The minutes of the meeting held on June 23, 1980, were approved and ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, seconded by Comm- issioner Jack D. Funderburke, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. The minutes of the meeting held on June 30, 1980, were approved and ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, seconded by Comm- issioner Jack D. Funderburke, which motion was unanimously adopted, upon a vote. The minutes of the meeting held July 2, 1980, were approved and ordered recorded upon motion of Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, seconded by Commiss- ioner Jack D. Funderburke, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. The petiton of the Tramway Fire Department for imp%ovementof the entryway of their firestation was presented to the Board. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved that the petition be approved and the Department of Transportation be requested to make such improvements. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne reported that the right of way department of the Highway Division of the Department of Transportation had been unable to secure the necessary rights of way to add Coggins Road in Carriage Hills Estates to the State Maintenance System.
