5 o m 9 PnE 757 <br />1. The following described property is hereby <br />declared to be surplus to the needs of the County of Lee: <br />(a) All of Lots 22, 23, 24, and 25, in the Sun-Set <br />Hills Subdivision, being the property conveyed by F. Jefferson <br />Ward, Commissioner, to Lee County, by deed dated December <br />1, 1977, and recorded in Book 288, page 273, Lee County <br />Registry, to which deed reference is hereby made for a more <br />perfect description. <br />(b) All of Lots 235-238, in the Sun-Set Hills Subdivision, <br />being the property conveyed by Dennis A. Wicker, Commissioner, <br />to Lee County, by deed dated February 24, 1979, and recorded in <br />Book 299, page 22, Lee County Registry, to which deed reference <br />is hereby made for a more perfect description. <br />2. The Clerk is authorized to receive on the Board of <br />Commissioners behalf, bids at public auction for the purchase of <br />the described property. <br />3. The public auction will be held on Friday, October 3, <br />1980, at 11:00 a. m. , at the Lee County Courthouse. The terms <br />of sale shall be cash. <br />4. The Clerk shall cause a notice of the public auction to <br />be published in accordance with G. S. 160A-270(a). <br />5. The person making the highest bid shall deposit with <br />the Finance Officer an amount equal to 5% of the bid. <br />6. The highest bid shall be reported to the Board of <br />Commissioners and must be accepted and confirmed by the Board <br />of Commissioners before the sale will be final. <br />Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next considered the letter from Sheriff Harold R. Thomas, <br />advising the Board that three used vehicles were surplus to theneeds of his office and <br />should be disposed of by the County. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved the <br />adoption of the following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF <br />CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY AT PUBLIC <br />AUCTION <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County <br />of Lee, desires to dispose of certain surplus property of the <br />C ounty; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS THAT: <br />1. The following described property is hereby declared to <br />be surplus to the needs of the County: <br />(1) A 1975 Plymouth, white-custom, 4-door, serial number <br />41U 5D 182014; <br />
