The following described property is hereby declared to be surplus to the needs of the County of Lee: (a) All of Lots 22, 23, 24, and 25, in the Sun-Set Hills Subdivision, being the property conveyed by F. Jefferson Ward, Commissioner, to Lee County, by deed dated December 1, 1977, and recorded in Book 288, page 273, Lee County Registry, to which deed reference is hereby made for a more perfect description. (b) All of Lots 235-238, in the Sun-Set Hills Subdivision, being the property conveyed by Dennis A. Wicker, Commissioner, to Lee County, by deed dated February 24, 1979, and recorded in Book 299, page 22, Lee County Registry, to which deed reference is hereby made for a more perfect description. 2. The Clerk is authorized to receive on the Board of Commissioners behalf, bids at public auction for the purchase of the described property. 3. The public auction will be held on Friday, October 3, 1980, at 11:00 a. m. , at the Lee County Courthouse. The terms of sale shall be cash. 4. The Clerk shall cause a notice of the public auction to be published in accordance with G. S. 160A-270(a). 5. The person making the highest bid shall deposit with the Finance Officer an amount equal to 5% of the bid. 6. The highest bid shall be reported to the Board of Commissioners and must be accepted and confirmed by the Board of Commissioners before the sale will be final. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The Board next considered the letter from Sheriff Harold R. Thomas, advising the Board that three used vehicles were surplus to theneeds of his office and should be disposed of by the County. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved the adoption of the following resolution: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY AT PUBLIC AUCTION WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee, desires to dispose of certain surplus property of the C ounty; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS THAT: 1. The following described property is hereby declared to be surplus to the needs of the County: (1) A 1975 Plymouth, white-custom, 4-door, serial number 41U 5D 182014;
