C. Bureau of Outdoor <br />Recreation 45,638 <br />$87,838 <br />Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Elwin J. Buchanan, Grants Director, reported that the rating <br />standards for determining which citizens fall in the classification of poor have been <br />recently revised and much of the preliminary work done on the Deep River School <br />water line project will have to be done over. <br />Mr. Elwin J. Buchanan, Grants Director, reported to the Board that <br />the grant for improvements to the dam at San-Lee Recreational and Educational Park <br />had been approved. <br />The request fo the Lee County Department of Social Services for <br />approval of its action in granting educational leave for Ms. Kathy Bryant was presented <br />to the Board. After discussion and reveiw of the letter dated October 27, 1980, Comm- <br />issioner Lila P. Nielsen moved the action of Department of Social Services in granting <br />educational leave for Ms. Bryant be approved. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />It was noted for the record that John F. Reynolds, Juvenile-Crime <br />Prevention Officer; William C. Mabe, Jailor; and James Tolliver, Bailiff, had com- <br />pleted their probationary period of employment satisfactorily and were being placed <br />on a permanent status with the Sheriff's Department. <br />Mr. S. F. Westbrooke, Tax Supervisor, reported to the Board <br />that the business personal property listing form heretofore exhibited to the Board <br />had been approved for use in Lee County by the North Carolina Department of Revenue. <br />Mr. S. F. Westbrooke, Tax Supervisor, reported to the Board that <br />a resolution of the Board providing for the installation of a permanent real estate <br />listing system in Lee County had been approved by the North Carolina Department of <br />Revenue. <br />
