PINK 9 ~ns_ 855 <br />e The general statement of policy concerning the establishment of the <br />office of County Manager and the resolution delineating duties and responsibilities <br />of Lee County Manager were presented to the Board. The drafts were considered, <br />discussed, and amended. Commissioner Lila P; Nielsen moved that the general <br />statement of policy and the resolution delineating duties and responsibilities, <br />copies of which are attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof <br />be approved and adopted. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote Commissioners Dotterer, Funderburke, Nielsen, and <br />Harmon voted for adoption and Commissioner Wicker voted against adoption. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the Board approve the <br />transfer of $2, 000. 00 from line item 510-74 to line item 510-16 within the <br />appropriation made for the Sheriff's Department for the current fiscal year to <br />be used to complete the work in connection with the frequency change in radio <br />communications. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote, Commissioners Dotterer, Funderburke, Nielsen, Wicker and <br />Harmon voted for it and no one voted against it. <br />County Manager Walter B. Hartman, presented to the Board the <br />draft of a resolution which made the necessary budget amendment for the <br />establishment within the General Fund of a department entitled "County Manager" <br />and other budgetary amendments necessitated by recent action of the Board. The <br />resolution was reviewed and discussed. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved <br />• that the resolution entitled "Budget Amendment-Appropriation Adjustment <br />#801201" a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference <br />incorporated herein, be approved and adopted. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commissioners Dotterer, Funderburke, <br />Nielsen, Wicker and Harmon voted for it and no one voted against it. <br />County Manager Walter B. Hartman presented to the Board the <br />draft of a project ordinance for the Lee County jail renovation. The ordinance <br />was reviewed and discussed. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved the adoption <br />of the following: <br />Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners as follows: <br />Section 1. There is hereby appropriated the following amount of <br />money for the purpose of renovating the Lee County Jail and for the purpose of <br />constructing a storage facility on the jail site in accordance with the attached <br />chart of accounts: <br />Jail Renovation and Storage Building Construction $122, 000 <br />0 <br />
