Noon c~ 85~. fl <br />The Board directed the Clerk to request the Highway Division, <br />Department of Transportation to have a representative contact Mr. Cletus Hall <br />about the status of the secondary roads in the Lee's Chapel Church area. <br />Mr. Bob Nelson of the firm of John C. Muse and Company, appeared <br />before the Board and reviewed the highlights of the audit of the County's fiscal <br />affairs as prepared by the firm. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the County contract with <br />the firm of John C. Muse and Company to audit the County fiscal affairs for the <br />current fiscal year and that the Chairman be authorized and directed to execute the <br />written contract presented to the Board for and on behalf of the County, <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot appeared before the Board on behalf of the Lee <br />County Planning Board and presented for consideration the final plat of the <br />Triangle Ranches Subdivision in Greenwood Township. Mr. Barefoot advised <br />the Board that the District Health Department noted limitations on the uses of <br />Lots 8, 9, and 13, and the Planning Board had directed the posting of a bond of <br />$50, 000. 00 to guarantee construction of the improvements required by the <br />subdivision ordinance. After discussion, the plat was approved. and the Chairman <br />authorized to execute a certificate to that effect provided the condition imposed <br />by the Health Department and Planning Board were complied with by the owners. <br />. The motion for such approval was made by Commissioner Jack D.'Funderburke <br />and seconded by Commissioner John E. Dotterer. The vote on the motion was <br />unanimous for adoption. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot also appeared before the Board to present for <br />consideration the map of the Floyd Holt property in which Mr. Holt was presenting <br />a request for a variance from the requirements of the subdivision ordinance with <br />respect to roadways. Mr. Floyd Holt, Jr. , was also present and appeared before <br />the Board. Mr. Holt represented to the Board that if this second variance from <br />the requirement for a 60-foot right of way was granted with respect to his 68 acre <br />tract, he would not make a similar request in the future. Commissioner Gordon <br />A. Wicker moved that the map of the Holt property be approved with a variance <br />being granted to not require a 60-foot right of way to the parcel being sold. <br />Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />Ms. Judith Wilson, Judge William A. Christian, The Reverend Tom <br />Coy, Mrs. Martha Howell, Don Gunderson, and The Reverend J. David Hill, <br />all appeared before the Board and spoke on behalf of the Lee County Youth <br />Commission and recommended that the Board conduct a feasibility' study to <br />determine if the Lutheran Family Service can establish and operate a Youth <br />Crisis. Home in Lee County. After discussion it was resolved to invite the <br />• Lutheran Family Service to make such a feasibility study upon motion of <br />
